Who we are

Velvet Beauty (“VELVET”, “we”, “us”) runs this website and the private beauty studio it describes, at The Laneway, Suite 4, 60 Picton Street, Howick, Auckland, New Zealand, and mobile spray tanning across East Auckland and surrounding areas.

What we collect

When you send a message through the contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, and your message.

That is the only personal information this website collects. Bookings and gift vouchers are made on Timely, our booking system, and Timely’s own privacy policy covers the details you give there. We also use website analytics, which records how the site is used (pages visited, rough location, device type) without identifying you.

How we use it

We use the information you send only to reply to you and to provide the treatment you ask about. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Third parties

The contact form is protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, and messages reach our inbox through a form service run by our website provider, Knott Digital. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the site is hosted with Netlify. We don’t use social media pixels or advertising trackers.

Keeping your information

We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with your request and keep reasonable business records, then delete them.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Get in touch and we’ll help.
